Equity Outreach Presentations

Bring experienced Equity members to your classroom to share their knowledge about the union with your theatre students!

Equity's Student Outreach Presentations are a natural part of any theatre degree or professional training curriculum. From 30 minutes to an hour and a half long, the presentation allows students to hear information and experiences from a union actor or stage manager and includes a valuable question and answer period. This dynamic and interactive presentation is designed to help pre-professional actors and stage managers learn more about the union of professional actors and stage managers as they consider their career options.

NOTE TO EDUCATORS:

Equity wants to help educators to provide current and accurate information about the union. One way to achieve this goal is by hosting an Equity outreach presentation at your theatre training program by filling out and submitting a Presentation Request Form. (Please allow two to three weeks to process your request.) There are two ways to connect your students with Equity:

INVITE ACTORS' EQUITY TO YOUR SCHOOL

A professional Equity actor or stage manager will bring the outreach seminar to your area. They can give a presentation in person or via Zoom, an online video conference connection.

BRING YOUR SCHOOL TO ACTORS' EQUITY

Include Actors' Equity in your travel itinerary during a theatre trip to any of our office cities – Chicago, Los Angeles or New York. The presentation will perfectly complement your students' Broadway or showcase experience.
