AGENCY INFORMATION
Equity establishes franchising regulations that permit talent agents to represent members for theatrical employment. Learn more about the regulations in place to ensure fair representation for our members.

CONTRACTS & CODES
Learn about the agreements Equity negotiates and administers with theatrical employers, as well as the limited circumstances where Equity members may perform without benefit of an Equity contract, sometimes referred to as "codes," "guidelines" or "rules."

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
We endeavor to engage in progressive dialogue surrounding diversity and inclusion with our employers, casting directors and industry leaders so as to encourage a more equitable, fair and inclusive work environment for all, including people who have been historically underrepresented both on and off the stage. We strive to unite our community in these shared endeavors.

DO NOT WORK
There are times when good-faith negotiations between Equity and employers do not result in an agreement suitable for union members. When this happens, those employers are placed on the Do Not Work List. If you have been offered employment by someone on this list, or if you have questions about the employer, please contact Equity.

RAY LONERGAN MEMORIAL LIBRARY
The Ray Lonergan Memorial Library was established in 1986 as the result of a generous donation from the family of the late actor and teacher Ray Lonergan. With a collection of more than 4,000 scripts, the library continues to provide a valuable resource for reading scripts, studying scenes or procuring monologues prior to auditions.
