On May 12, the 2007-2008 Robe was unveiled during the Eastern Regional Board meeting. This robe had been dedicated to Adrian Bailey, a five time Robe recipient (Your Arms Are Too Short to Box with God, Prince of Central Park, Jelly's Last Jame, Legs Diamond, The Little Mermaid) and is housed in a case outside of the Council Room. At the unveiling, 2nd Vice President Jean-Paul Richard presented Mr. Bailey with the first ACCA Spirit Award in recognition of his exemplary work on Broadway. In accepting the engraved crystal award, Mr. Bailey said that he was "surprised," "honored" and "blessed to be a part of this industry and this union." He was "proud of Equity, its work and what it has done for actors." The ceremony was attended by The Little Mermaid cast members, Councilors and staff.
